St. Patrick’s Day
St. Patrick’s Day ranks right up there with the Big Three (T, C & E) as far as family gatherings go. It has become such a festive holiday that you can’t help but look forward to March 17th every year! Although it has its origins in religious ceremony, the holiday has evolved into one great big day of celebration for everyone on this side of the pond.
Yes, leave it to us Americans to hold the first ever St. Patrick’s Day parade in, what is known now as, St. Augustine, Florida… in 1601. Never to be out done, New York currently boasts the longest running non-military parade in the world. The largest St. Patrick’s Day parade in the U.S. is held there annually, with 150,000 people joining in on the revelry.
Since eating is such a big part of the day (or every day, if you’re us) we thought it would be fun to pass along this link with 25, yes that’s right, 25 corned beef recipes to whip up for your guests. Whether you’re serving up breakfast, lunch, or dinner, they’ve got you covered:
Enjoy the day: spend some time outside looking for lucky clovers, take in a neighborhood parade and top it all off surrounded with family and friends and a delicious meal. Luck of the Irish be with you all!!
